Measurements

Like most European countries, Poland uses the metric system.

Distances are measured in meters and kilometers. Fluids are measured in liters, weight in kilograms and temperature in degree Celsius.

Length:

1 m (meter) = 100 cm (centimeter)
1000 m = 1 km (kilometer)
1 inch = 2.54 cm
1 foot = 30.5 cm
1 yard = 0.9 m
1 mile = 1.609 m

Mass:

1 kg (kilogram) = 100 dg (decagram) = 1000 g (gram)
1 pound = 454 kg
1 ounce = 28 g

Temperature:

-17.8 °C = 0 °F
0 °C = 32 °F
37 °C = 98.6 °F
100 °C = 212 °F
